Hackney is one of Britain’s most exciting and fastest-changing boroughs. We have changed the reputation, not just of the Council, but of Hackney itself. The challenges that have arisen over the last two years have intensified the need for action and we are determined to rebuild Hackney for, and with, our diverse communities. 

The Senior Management structure in adult social care has recently been reviewed and we are building a team to help us achieve our ambitions for staff and residents. Adult Social Care is a vital part of the Council and of the system in Hackney, advocating in how we can together support those in need of care and support to be safe and well. We believe strongly in a system wide and collaborative approach, and have evidence of being innovative in a number of areas, including our neighbourhood approach.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader in adult social care to act as our Director of Adult Social Care Operations. Reporting directly to the Group Director for Adults, Health and Integration, you will be responsible for a significant number of staff, budget and importantly the delivery of outcomes for local residents. You will be legally literate around our statutory duties, innovative in how we can deliver differently , and forward thinking in terms of how we work collaboratively and deliver our approach.
